Yarmouth, N.S. (October 3, 2025) – October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Yarmouth Jr A Mariners are proud to announce the launch of their annual Pink in the Rink campaign in support of the Dr. Edwin Janke Cancer Centre.
Bidding for the exclusive Pink in the Rink game-worn jerseys will open on Sunday, October 5 at 4:00 p.m. Fans are invited to place their bids on their favourite player’s jersey, with all proceeds helping to support local cancer care here in Yarmouth.
Since the launch of Pink in the Rink, the Mariners and their fans have raised more than $80,000 to support the Dr. Edwin Janke Cancer Centre, making a meaningful impact in the community year after year.
To ensure fair and accurate tracking, all bids must be submitted via text message only to 902-749-6229. This provides a clear visual record of each bid as the auction progresses.
Bidding updates will be posted regularly on the Yarmouth Mariners Facebook page, where fans can follow the action in real time.
“We’re proud to continue this tradition that brings our community together to support an important cause,” said Laurie Barron, Head Coach & General Manager. “Every bid helps make a difference in the lives of local patients and their families.”
The Mariners encourage fans to get involved, bid often, and show their support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
