Yarmouth, N.S. (January 11, 2025) – The Yarmouth Mariners have been busy leading up to the trade deadline, completing multiple deals to strengthen our roster for the future. Here’s the full breakdown of all trades:


Trade with Summerside

The Mariners have traded Jérôme Gilbert and Nathan Mossey to the Summerside Capitals. In return, we’ve acquired:

  • Rights to F – William Shields (2006, QMJHL)
  • F – Liam Bridger (2004)
  • D – Michael MacLean* (2004)

Trade with West Kent

We’ve traded Jérome Nadeau to the West Kent Steamers. In exchange, we received:

  • 2nd Round Pick (Edmundston) in the 2025 Draft
  • 5th Round Pick in the 2025 Draft

Trade with Pictou County

The Mariners have traded Thomas Fontaine and an 8th Round Pick in the 2026 Draft to the Pictou County Crushers. In return, we’ve acquired:

  • D – Julien Avignon-Bourque (2006)
  • Rights to F – Reece Peitzsche (2006, QMJHL)
  • Rights to F – Charlie Benigno (2008, QMJHL)
  • 5th Round Pick in the 2025 Draft

Trade with Campbellton

We’ve traded Lucas Boisvert to the Campbellton Tigers in exchange for:

Trade with Miramichi

The Mariners have traded Alexis Tanguay to the Miramichi Timberwolves. In exchange, we’ve received:
