On Monday The Yarmouth Mariners announced they had acquired forward Jonathan Rees. Rees arrives after spending his last season with the Delta Ice Hawks of the PIJHL. In 64 games with the Ice, Hawks Rees tallied 88 points and also captured the PIJHL Rookie Of The Year title.
Mariners HC/GM Laurie Barron had the following to say on his newest acquisition. “Jonathan brings a combination of grit and skill, he gives us a lot of depth in the middle and he is a great young man”.
