The Yarmouth Jr A Mariners would like to welcome Andre Lefebvre as our new head scout. Andre will replace Matt Anthony who has joined the Cape Breton Eagles organization. See Andres bio below!.
“Andre is currently the Head Coach of the Cole Harbour Wolfpack Major Midgets and has an extensive background of coaching over the last 15+ years. He has previously coached in the MHL, NSMMHL, NSMBHL, AUS and last season was named the 2018-19 NSMMHL Coach of the Year.
He has also been a part of Hockey Canada’s 2017 National U17 Program Selection Camp and Hockey NS High Performance program in various roles for the last 10 seasons and is currently the Head Coach of the 2019 Male U14 Team. He was the Head Coach of the U16 QMJHL Gatorade Challenge Teams for the last two seasons (2017 & 2018).
He has worked as a Scout in the QMJHL for 10 years (Val D’or, Shawinigan) and is currently the Nova Scotia Scout for the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL for the last 5 seasons.
Andre is very excited to be joining the Mariners and is looking forward to working and contributing to the success of the team and players for years to come. He works as the Director of Hockey Development for Summit Academy of Active Learning in Bedford NS and lives in Bedford with his wife Christine, and two sons John-Pirre and Roderick.”
