MHL Showcase Information

Truro, N.S. (September 28, 2018) – Thanksgiving weekend is nearly upon us, which preparations are well underway for the return of the MHL Showcase. All twelve Maritime Hockey League teams will descend on the Pictou County Wellness Centre in New Glasgow for games on Monday, October 8th and Tuesday, October 9th.

Each team will play once per day, pitting an Eastlink North Division team against an Eastlink South Division opponent. The first day will see teams matched up based on based on where they finished in the standings last season. All games are two 25-minute periods in length, and they count towards the regular season standings. Local fans will note the host Pictou County Weeks Crushers play at 7 p.m. both days.

“For the third year in a row, our league gathers to show the hockey world what our players, teams, and staff can do,” says MHL President Brian Whitehead. “It’s also a chance for our fans to see the excitement of early season hockey as teams have begun the march to the MHL Championship.”

Single day passes are available at $12 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for children eight to twelve years of age. Two day passes are also available at a price of $20 for adults, $15 for students, and $8 for children eight to twelve years of age. Tickets are available now by calling Yvonne at 902-396-6097.
