Yarmouth, N.S. (December 19, 2024) – The Yarmouth Jr A Mariners are thrilled to announce the introduction of special Acadian-themed jerseys, celebrating the rich Acadian heritage embedded in the Yarmouth region. These unique jerseys will be debuted during the warmup of the game this Friday, December 20th, at the Mariners Centre, offering fans a first glimpse of the vibrant homage to the area's cultural roots.
The Acadian culture holds a special place in the heart of the Yarmouth community, and the Yarmouth Jr A Mariners have always prided themselves on being a team that reflects the values and spirit of the region.
These unique jerseys will be worn during this Friday’s warmup and several games in the new year, starting January 11th against Pictou County. To celebrate, they’ll be auctioned off from January 11th to January 31st, with the proceeds going to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
