Yarmouth, N.S. (August 12, 2024) – The Yarmouth Mariners are thrilled to announce the signing of Alexis Tanguay, a highly anticipated 19-year-old forward from Lévis, Quebec. Tanguay, who has showcased his talent in 60 games with the Val-d’Or Foreurs and Québec Remparts of the QMJHL, is set to join the Mariners for the upcoming season.
“I’m ready to commit to being a Yarmouth Mariner! I’m very excited about this new opportunity and coming to such a great organization. We have a great group of guys and I can’t wait to see this on the ice,” said Tanguay.
Head Coach and General Manager Laurie Barron expressed enthusiasm about the new addition: “Getting a player of Alexis Tanguay’s stature is huge for our program. He’s a gifted offensive player, and we are excited to have him with our team. Fans are going to love him at the fish tank!”

The Yarmouth Mariners begin their 2024/2025 regular season at home on Friday, September 13th, as they welcome the Pictou County Weeks Crushers to the Fish Tank. Puck drops at 7:00 pm.
