Yarmouth, Nova Scotia- The Yarmouth JR A Mariners bolstered their lineup on Thursday deadline acquiring 20 year old forward Landon Quinney from the Valley Wildcats. The deal saw Yarmouth exchange a 2020 1st round draft pick and future considerations in the deal. Quinney will bolster the Mariners forward depth previously playing over 100 games in the WHL, and QMJHL split between Moose Jaw and Saint John. In 26 games with the Wildcats he had 5 goals and 18 assists why accumulating 87 penalty minutes. Yarmouth Head Coach/GM Laurie Barron had the following to say on the Quinney acquisition. “We are extremely excited to be able to bring in Landon. He has high end skill level and great hockey IQ.”
The Mariners are back in action on Friday evening taking on the defending champion Edmundston Blizzard at 7:30 pm.
