Mariners earn 4 on the weekend - Yarmouth Jr. A Mariners
Mariners earn 4 on the weekend
The Parents of Mariners forward James O'Reilly dropped the puck on Saturday night. The O'Reilly's made the trip from Charleston, South Carolina to visit their son and take in some action.
Friday night's action was very similar to the last visit Truro made to Yarmouth where the Mariners dominated the Bent leaders at both ends of the rink. Justin Chiasson was a stand out on the night as he scored twice for the Mariners. Marco Desveaux managed a goal and an assist, Neil Coombs was the other scorer for Yarmouth. On Saturday night the Mariners came out quick against Dieppe but the Commandos would take over in the second period, eventually going on to win 3-1. But on Sunday, Yarmouth managed a 2-1 win, grabbing two more points bringing them to within two of the Amherst Ramblers.
The Mariners' next opportunity to work up the ladder comes on Thursday as they visit the Halifax Lions at the Forum. Then on Saturday, the Mariners are back home to face the Woodstock Slammers.
