It was an impressive weekend performance for the Mariners. The top two teams in the league were in town and Yarmouth competed hugely in both games. Although the Slammers took a 4-0 win on Saturday night, it was a much closer game than the scoreboard indicated. The Mariners matched the league's best team in shots, but ran into a solid goaltender in Tyler Piercy. On Sunday, the same effort was given and the results were better as Yarmouth was able to control the play against Truro for the entire game. Charles Grant was exceptional in both games.

The Mariners now get some rest and rehearsal before a busy weekend upcoming where they head to New Glasgow on Thursday, Bridgewater on Friday and then Summerside on Sunday.
